Every year, Mammoth Lakes is home to a multitude of exciting and entertaining events and festivals. There is something going on in Mammoth in almost every month of the year. During the summer months, you will find a variety of sporting events, fishing tournaments, food and drink festivals and concerts to fill up your daily planner. We have checked out the summer event schedule for 2016 and it is filled with events and festivals you don’t want to miss!
2nd Annual Mammoth Lakes Film Festival – May 25th through May 29th: A community event that allows creative individuals the opportunity to screen films and get much needed advice and mentorship from the industry’s leading professionals.
Monster Energy Mammoth Motocross – June 17th through June 26th: Adrenaline seekers will be in paradise at this off-roading event. Beside the professional and amateur racing competitions, eventgoers can watch daredevil racers do crazy tricks in the bike pit, try out demo cars on a mini track in the Village Plaza, let their kids play on a scooter course, watch an outdoor movie and hit the golf course to win prizes and meet some of the racers.
Paradise Wine Tasting – June 26th: This annual fundraiser is held at Hidden Creek Ranch where there will be wine and beer tasting, live music and delicious food.
June Lake Triathlon and Festival – July 9th: Whether you want to participate in this exhilarating event or just enjoy the festivities, there is plenty to do during this one-day event in the community of June Lakes. Events include a Half-Ironman Distance Course, Sprint Distance Course and a Kids Mini-Distance Course.
Mammoth Food and Wine Experience – July 15th and 16th: The annual event is sponsored by Honda and offers over 75 different varieties of exceptional wines, entertaining celebrity chef battles, local cuisine and more. Learn interesting information and take in the beautiful scenery as you take a wine walk through the village of Mammoth.
13th Annual Villagefest – July 29th through 31st: Rated the second most attended event in Mammoth Lakes, the Villagefest features a Rib Cook-off, concerts every night, an art walk and more!
Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza – August 4th through 7th: Head outside for not just one day, but FOUR days of awesome concerts with the hottest mix of new and legendary performers. The second part to the “blues and brews” weekend is of course the local beer tasting. This year, over 100 different breweries will be showcasing their best brews.
World Food Championships Regional Burger Off – August 5th and 6th: If you love a thick, juicy burger, you have got to be first in line for this battle of burger-grilling champions.
Mammoth Margarita Fest – August 12th and 13th: Try over 15 different tequila companies and every type of margarita imaginable.
Mammoth Rocks: A Taste of the Sierra – August 26th and 27th: Experience great music, great food and great beer as you dance the night away at this 7th annual rock-n-roll event.
